Kochański's Workshop

Demonstration version 0.9 — a working model. Everything marked as ours awaits refinement once archival research is done. See what we still don't know.

Privacy

The short answer: this site collects nothing about you. No cookies, no analytics, no accounts, no forms. The longer answer sets out what nevertheless happens while you read — because “nothing” needs qualifying if it is to be true.

What the site does not do

It sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser — not in localStorage, not anywhere else. It uses no analytics tool and no tracking service. It keeps no accounts, takes no forms, and asks consent for nothing, because there is nothing to consent to.

The instruments compute entirely in your browser. Nothing you set in them — date, hour, radius, cipher key — leaves your computer or is recorded anywhere.

What the host sees

The site runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. For a page to reach you the host must serve the request, and so of necessity sees the network address it came from, the kind of browser and the time. These are standard technical server data, processed so that the site works and withstands abuse. The person running the site has no access to them in a form that would identify anyone, and builds no statistics from them.

Connections outside the site

Loading a page causes no connection to any third-party server. Typefaces, styles and scripts come from the same address as the page; the content security policy enforces this in the browser.

An outside connection happens only when you cause it yourself:

The markers beside links say plainly where each one leads and whether it opens here or at the publisher. That distinction is kept consistently throughout the site, and part of its purpose is to let you know when you are leaving.

Correspondence

The address office@adamandy.pl is a forwarding address: mail arrives through Cloudflare Email Routing into a private mailbox. Messages go into no database, ticketing system or marketing tool — they are read and kept as ordinary correspondence.

If you write with a correction, its substance may go into the decision register or the agenda of open questions, since that is what those registers are for. You will not be named there, by name or address, unless you ask to be or agree to it. The register records the finding and its grounds, not the sender. Someone who writes to a stranger with a remark does not expect to appear by name in a public document — and a site that keeps open registers cannot do so at the cost of another person's privacy.

The controller of the data contained in correspondence is the person running the site, dr Krzysztof Atłasiewicz. For access to your data, its correction or erasure, write to the same address.

Changes

This page describes the state of affairs, not intentions. Should the site begin to do any of the above differently — embedding content from a new server, say, or taking a form — the change will appear here first, and its reason in the register of changes.
